Canadian artist Michael Evans Keirstead began creating 'The Jam I' in 1982, finally completing the work in 1987.

The original - consisting of 113 individual portraits - is a huge (8' x 4' / 2.4m x 1.2m) black and white pen and ink drawing using the pointillism or stipple technique to produce drawings of an almost photographic quality.

'The Jam I' pays tribute to the musicians who helped to shape the evolution of rock music from its early beginnings in the 1950s, through the pivotal decades of the 1960s and 1970s.

All rock's legends are featured - from Dylan to Springsteen, The Beatles to Led Zeppelin.

This totally unique and very original piece of artwork has been reproduced as a high-quality print enabling true justice to be given to the incredible detail of the original work.
